First soldering project…

Haydon was given a soldering kit for Christmas by Granny and Grandad Ross…. I gave him a clear controller and some LED mod lights.

We then spent hours trying to create a modded Xbox controller…

Haydon stripped down an old controller and did some practice soldering… the first attempt was rubbish (by both of us !), had to really shorten all the wires, I then had to re solder the resistor and capacitor … a bit too fiddly for Haydon to do that.

1) First soldering attempt, failed and done again !

2) Haydon assembles all the pieces…

3) Moment of truth…. will it work ?!…

Yep    Looks better in the dark !

Time to play test !
